Analysis of the performance of the Directorate General of Taxes (DGI) year-on-year from 2020 to September 2025
A review of the Guinean Directorate General of Taxes (DGI) performance from 2020 to September 2025 reveals exceptional results in 2025. For the first time, revenue collection exceeded forecasts by 13% (15,828 billion vs. 14,064 billion GNF). This represents a significant improvement compared to the negative gaps observed between 2020 and 2024. Since 2021, performance has steadily improved. Monthly growth in 2025 is robust, averaging 36%. This achievement is attributed to the dedication and rigorous work of DGI staff in monitoring tax declarations, not to the SAFIG teleprocedures system, which won't be fully operational until late 2026. The DGI's success reflects a commitment to improved service, fostering trust, and promoting tax compliance under the leadership of Director General Fatoumata Foula DIALLO.
