‘El-Rufai’s Comment Is Laughable, Kaduna Govt Does Not Negotiate With Bandits’
Public affairs analyst Edward Auta refuted claims by former Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai that the current administration, led by Governor Uba Sani, negotiates with or pays bandits. Speaking on Channels Television, Auta emphasized that Governor Sani employs a structured peace model focused on providing healthcare, education, infrastructure, and inclusion, specifically targeting young boys exploited by bandit groups. He dismissed El-Rufai's comments as ironic, pointing out that El-Rufai himself publicly admitted to paying bandits during his tenure. Auta highlighted improved security under Sani's administration, citing safer highways, returning farmers, and increased productivity, contrasting it with the violence prevalent under El-Rufai's leadership.
