NiDA Hails Komolafe As NUPRC Exceeded Revenue Targets
The Nigerians in Diaspora Assembly (NiDA) commended Gbenga Komolafe, head of the Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission (NUPRC), for receiving a professional doctorate in Leadership (Energy Law) and the Global Sustainable Leadership Award. NiDA London lauded Komolafe for elevating Nigeria’s global profile, highlighting his transformative leadership at NUPRC and his instrumental role in reforms under the Petroleum Industry Act (PIA). Under Komolafe's leadership, Nigeria's upstream sector has seen significant growth, with active rig counts increasing dramatically and revenue consistently surpassing government projections. The Host Community Development Trust has also exceeded N350 billion, funding projects benefiting local communities. NiDA sees these achievements as a testament to Nigeria's potential as a credible and attractive destination for energy investment, encouraging young Nigerians to strive for similar excellence.
