Senator Ndume has warned President Tinubu of a potential election upset similar to Goodluck Jonathan's 2015 defeat, citing voter dissatisfaction despite APC endorsements. Ndume disagreed with the APC's endorsement of Tinubu for a second term, pointing out Jonathan's prior endorsement by 22 governors did not translate to electoral victory. In response, APC's Director of Publicity, Bala Ibrahim, acknowledged Ndume's dissent but affirmed the party's tolerance of diverse opinions, provided they adhere to progressive ideals and party regulations. Ibrahim emphasized the APC's commitment to freedom and equality but cautioned that misconduct would be subject to disciplinary procedures.
