In the statement released today, Bamaiyi said:“In the first instance, the name “foundation members” connotes mischief because as far as the APC is concerned, there exist no differentials in respect of membership, since all supporters enjoy the same recognition and respect in the Party.
The APC is appealing to its members to remain calm and resolute, as well as disregard any misinformation that might come from the group, as it is nothing but a hatchet job to frustrate the Party from actively participating in the local government elections in the State.” In a statement released in Jos on Monday, the State Acting Publicity Secretary,Shittu Bamaiyi, indicated that the Party has received information suggesting that a faction identifying itself as “foundation members” is actively recruiting individuals to sow confusion and division within the Party..
