Police Nab 12 Suspected Kidnappers, Armed Robbers, Recover Fire Arms In Joint Operation
In a press release on May 26th, ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi announced that FCT Command operatives dismantled an armed robbery and carjacking syndicate in Maitama, neutralizing Abdulmininu Bello and arresting seven others. Recovered items included AK-47 rifles, pistols, ammunition, a car, and a motorcycle. Separately, the Jigawa State Police Command rescued Hajiya Hajara, an 80-year-old kidnapping victim, and neutralized five kidnappers in a rescue operation. Five suspects were arrested. Recovered items include AK-47 rifles, LAR rifle, ammunition, motorcycles, and phones. Inspector-General of Police Kayode Egbetokun praised the operatives and reaffirmed the Nigeria Police Force's commitment to public safety, urging the public to report suspicious activity.
