Shun Corruption, Ensure Fairness – Amupitan To INEC Staff Co-op
INEC Chairman Joash Amupitan urged leaders of the INEC Staff Multi-Purpose Co-operative Society to prioritize transparency, integrity, and accountability in managing members' funds during their Annual General Meeting. He warned against corruption and misuse of funds, emphasizing that these actions erode trust and undermine the cooperative's purpose. Amupitan stressed that the cooperative's funds belong to the members, not the executives, and called for meticulous financial management, open books, and justifiable decisions. He cautioned against unauthorized spending and advocated for fair access to loans and benefits for all members, regardless of rank. He also advised the society to pursue prudent investments to secure its future.
