Aina, Awoniyi Retained As Nottingham Forest Reshuffle Squad
Nottingham Forest has retained Super Eagles players Ola Aina and Taiwo Awoniyi despite a broader squad overhaul including departures and loan returns. Aina, a standout full-back who joined in 2023, played in all 35 Premier League matches, scoring twice and assisting once, leading to Forest activating a one-year extension clause. Awoniyi, limited by injury and poor form, played few minutes, scoring once; despite speculation about his future and interest in other forwards, the club has chosen to keep him. Forest has also offered a new contract to Willy Boly.
