Tinubu declared the forgiveness during a closed-door meeting with the Lagos State Governor’s Advisory Council on Sunday. Babarinde, General Secretary of Renewed Hope Global, hailed the reconciliation as a positive sign for Lagos, Yorubaland, and Nigeria, emphasizing its importance for national stability. He defended Sanwo-Olu as loyal, principled, and progressive-minded, dismissing accusations as potentially fabricated by political enemies, and noting Sanwo-Olu's support for Tinubu during the 2023 elections despite setbacks in Lagos.
