A former Secretary General of the Afenifere, Chief Sola Ebiseni, polled 99 votes, Adeolu Akinwumi got 64 votes, Bamidele Akingboye scored 24, Mr John Mafo polled nine and Mr Bosun Arebuwa had two votes.
“This is in connection with the local government election slated for Saturday, April 27, 2024,”the statement noted.
“Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, has approved the declaration of Friday, April 26, 2024, as a half working day for all public and civil servants in the state.
