Unilever Nigeria records accident-free year during transporters’ safety week
Unilever Nigeria Plc celebrated an accident-free year in its logistics operations, marking the conclusion of its 5th annual Transporters' Safety Week. The initiative, themed "No Rush! Na Safety Sure Pass," focused on reinforcing safety and responsibility within its supply chain through training led by FRSC and the Nigerian Institute for Industrial Security. Drivers received instruction on defensive driving, cargo security, and accident prevention, and medical screenings. Unilever leaders highlighted the collective effort behind the safety record and reaffirmed their commitment to zero accidents. Awards were given to top performers, including Best Performing Driver and Most Security and Safety-Compliant Transporter. Unilever emphasized that the Safety Week, aligning with its sustainability goals, advances road safety, enhances efficiency, and acknowledges excellence in its logistics network.
