In his address to the Nation, he justified the merits of the coup and invited Guineans to subscribe to the spirit of the CNRD.

Eight months after the coup, the President of the Transition, Colonel Mamadi Doumbouya, unveiled this evening the duration of the transition which is 3 years three months (39 months).

My dear compatriots, I invite everyone to favor the common project and to engage in the national momentum of the CNRD, which aims to achieve the unity of our country.

Our National Army, patriotic and republican, which has always stood alongside its people, and watches over the Republic, has assumed its responsibilities, to straighten the course of our history and our common destiny.

At the risk of our lives, as men and women of honor dedicated to the supreme sacrifice, whose life is dedicated to the fatherland; we made the solemn oath to free Guinea from the weight of all its demons, to exorcise also the ghosts that have always haunted it.

From all the consultations undertaken at all levels since the beginning of the Transition, with all the components of the nation, with all Guineans wherever they are, there emerges a median proposal of a consensual duration of the Transition of 39 month.

At the same time, it is a noble vision of a broader national ambition, driven by great popular fervor and led with the massive support of the brave people.

Guineans, Guineans, My dear compatriots, On September 5, 2021, a new day dawned for our country.

It is on the basis of the lessons of our common experience and of all the sometimes tragic errors of the past that we will be able to overcome the difficulties of the present and meet all the challenges that are looming on the horizon.

My dear compatriots, The current Transition aims, we all agree, to restore and strengthen democracy and the rule of law.

This is the moment and the opportunity to remind everyone that between Guineans of good faith and patriots, we can find appropriate solutions to all our problems, even those that seem insoluble.

This is why, there were successively, the national consultation days, the national meetings, and now the consultation and dialogue framework, which have just made their provisional conclusions..
