Marwa Demands Collective Action Against Drug Abuse, Cultism, Banditry
Marwa, Nigeria's National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) chief, has called for collective responsibility to curb the growing menace of drug abuse, cultism, and banditry among youths. He emphasized that these vices are intricately connected and feeding each other in a cycle of destruction. Marwa urged stakeholders, including parents, religious institutions, and community leaders, to join forces against these vices. He also stressed the importance of strengthening the family unit, investing in youth development, and creating opportunities for education, entrepreneurship, and sports. The NDLEA has intensified its war against drug trafficking and abuse, conducting nationwide raids and making significant seizures and arrests. In the past 54 months, the agency has arrested 67,345
