‘Provide Evidence Of Abure In Bed With APC Govt’ – Labour Party Dares Peter Obi
Peter Obi alleged on Arise Television that the APC-led government is fueling the Labour Party (LP) crisis. He claimed they have infiltrated the party's leadership. However, the LP, through National Secretary Umar Farouk Ibrahim, refuted Obi's claims. They accused Obi and Abia Governor Alex Otti of causing the crisis, challenging Obi to prove Abure's alleged connection with the APC. The LP statement criticized Obi for "constantly misinforming Nigerians," urging him to acknowledge his mistakes instead of blaming government infiltration. The party denied any alliance with other parties, highlighting their support for Obi and Otti in the 2023 election. The statement maintained that the Labour Party would not go into any alliance with any other party, adding that it had every opportunity in 2023 to do so, but chose to stand by Peter Obi and even Alex Otti before and after the general election.
