‘So Much Waste, Abuse Of Resources, Corruption Ongoing’ – Baba-Ahmed Fault Tinubu’s Govt
Baba-Ahmed, former spokesperson for the Northern Elders Forum (NEF), criticized the Tinubu administration for failing to improve governance and address the economic hardship resulting from the petrol subsidy removal. Speaking on Channels Television, he lamented the widespread "waste of resources" and corruption, urging Tinubu to enforce accountability at all government levels. He called for focus on infrastructure, social development, tackling insecurity and poverty. Baba-Ahmed further stated that successive Nigerian presidents since 1999 have underperformed, prioritizing personal interests over public service, with Tinubu's leadership proving disappointing. He cited the dire living conditions of Nigerians as evidence of the administration's failure to meet expectations. He also criticized the selfishness of Nigerian leaders as being detrimental to true democracy.
