Aliko Dangote retires as chairman of Dangote Cement

Aliko Dangote has retired as chairman of the board of directors at Dangote Cement, with Emmanuel Ikazoboh appointed to take his position. Ikazoboh, an independent non-executive director, has over 40 years of experience in senior management roles in West and Central Africa. He previously served as Group Chairman of Ecobank Transnational Inc. and Managing Partner of Deloitte's francophone offices in Cameroon and Côte d'Ivoire. Dangote's retirement is part of a planned succession, following his earlier departure as Chairman of Dangote Sugar Refinery Plc in June after 20 years of leadership.
