Electricity market law will boost economic life of Osun State – Governor
Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke has hailed the passage of the state electricity bill, saying it will boost the economy and provide a major tool for deepening it. The bill will establish an Electricity Regulatory Commission to oversee electricity-related matters in the state. The governor said the law will open up opportunities for investors in the power sector, diversify power generation sources, and regulate the market to address the chronic power supply crisis in the state. He added that the era of exploitation and oppression of Osun people by officials of the Ibadan electricity distribution company is over.
