Nigeria Cannot Fail – Buratai Dismisses Collapse Predictions
In a statement, former Chief of Army Staff Tukur Buratai refuted claims that Nigeria is nearing collapse, emphasizing the nation's resilience and historical ability to overcome crises. He argued that predictions of failure overlook leadership reforms and the determination of the Nigerian people, who have navigated political, economic, and security challenges that would have overwhelmed other countries. Buratai lauded past leaders and highlighted ongoing infrastructure projects and economic strengths, including its status as Africa's largest economy. While acknowledging current economic and security difficulties, he characterized them as temporary and emphasized the degradation of Boko Haram and ongoing investments in infrastructure and key sectors. He concluded that Nigeria cannot and will not fail.
