The NDLEA has made multiple arrests and seizures of illicit drugs across Nigeria. Most notably, Prophet Adefolusho was arrested in Lagos for allegedly masterminding drug shipments after evading arrest and fleeing to Ghana. He confessed to smuggling drugs from Ghana via waterways after the agency seized 200kg and 700kg of cannabis linked to him. Other operations led to arrests in Lagos for Canadian Loud, Nasarawa for skunk, and Kano for skunk, Colorado, tramadol, and diazepam. A raid in Gombe uncovered over 550,000 opioid pills. In Edo, a large quantity of tramadol and pentazocine injection was seized. Alongside enforcement, the NDLEA continued its drug abuse awareness campaigns in schools, workplaces, and communities. The NDLEA Chairman commended the officers involved and urged them to continue their efforts.
