‘I Felt Like Hitting Mic On Obasanjo’s Head, He Has Dementia’ – Fayose
In an interview, Ayodele Fayose clarified the circumstances surrounding Olusegun Obasanjo's attendance at his 65th birthday, disputing claims of reconciliation or seeking forgiveness. Fayose stated he extended an invitation to Obasanjo merely as a courtesy, alongside others he'd previously had disagreements with, aiming to "put differences behind" to mark his milestone. He expressed surprise at Obasanjo's public declaration of forgiveness, asserting he never apologized and was, in fact, wronged by Obasanjo in the past. Fayose further revealed that Obasanjo asked for $20,000, chartered flight and to take the vote of thanks at the birthday party. Fayose criticized Obasanjo for his disparaging comments during the celebration, accusing him of collecting $10 million for the library and described Obasanjo as having dementia. Ultimately, Fayose declared an end to any possibility of a mended relationship with Obasanjo.
