Karim Traoré new Chief of Staff to the Prime Minister replaces Ahoutou Emmanuel Koffi

Fluent in French and English, Karim Traoré holds a degree in statistical engineering from ENSEA in Abidjan and a Master's degree in public economics from the University of Cocody Abidjan.

This international career did not prevent him from joining the Ivorian high administration.

Between December 2014 and October 2018, Karim Traoré was the Chief of Staff of the Minister in charge of the Budget and the State Portfolio.

In this position, he obtained convincing results.

He contributed to the digitalization of tax payments (e-tax and payment of land tax by mobile-money) or even to the establishment of an electronic land register.

This appointment sounds obvious for this Ivorian executive who has nearly 18 years of experience acquired in Côte d'Ivoire and the United States.

Karim Traor therefore joined the International Monetary Fund (IMF) in 2013 as an Economist with responsibility within the Togo team.
